CareerConnect@Home is a month-long Career Exploration opportunity for students to learn about real jobs and industries in Washington.

About the program

School buildings across the state and nation have been ordered closed through the end of the school year.

Not only are students at risk of missing out on their regular English and math instruction, but they’re also left without critical career exploration programs that expose students to new industries, job functions, and career pathways.

We believe that it is our responsibility to ensure that students have the opportunity to participate in Career Exploration during this crisis.

About Career Connect Washington

CareerConnect@Home is sponsored by Career Connect Washington (CCW). CCW comprises industry, labor, education, and community leaders who are creating work-based and academic programs for young people to explore, learn, and earn money and college-level credit. CCW believes all students in Washington deserve a future of purpose and prosperity — and the support necessary to achieve it. That’s why CCW is creating opportunities that launch every Washington student into college and career. Alignment with Career Connected Learning Continuum

CareerConnect@Home is a Career Explore program, aligned with the first step of the Career Connect Washington career connected learning continuum. Career Explore programs are designed to expose students to many career options and pathways, beginning as early as elementary or middle school. These programs allow students to learn about future jobs and industries through activities including career fairs, worksite tours, job shadowing, guest speaker presentations, and other similar activities.
